QEMU-GUEST-AGENT

Postby Russell.Belair » Wed 9. Nov 2016, 21:10

Good Day All.

This is my first post on this forum.

I've been using UCS for a long time now, and I have always installed it as a virtual guest machine on VMware ESXi. Recently I have decided to switch my hypervisor to Proxmox VE 4.3. I am trying to install the qemu-guest-agent package in UCS, but the package doesn't seem to exist, but it is available natively in Debian.

Does anyone know how I can install it in UCS 4.1-3?

Thank you.

Hi,

I dont know if it works but you could try the wheezy backport which appears to be the only one available for this version.

Thank you Dirk,

Why the wheezy-backports and not the jessie-backports? I may be wrong but isn't UCS 4.1-x based on Debian Jessie?

UCS 4.1 is based on Wheezy, but has some additional backports.
UCS 4.2 which is announced for Q2 2017 (https://www.univention.com/release-of-u ... pril-2017/) will use Jessie as foundation.
