Setting full disk encryption during install on amazon EC2

I would like to install a UCS into an Amazon EC2 Environment. To ensure that only set up users of the operating system have access to the System I would like to enable full disk encryption during install. Basically encrypt the complete System. In this way only someone who is a registered LDAP user can access the disks, and no from Amazon staff or the web.

Any experience and any guidlines that someone can give me.
